FAQ’s – Swimming Pool

1 ) How much air should there be in the inflatable ring of a Marin swimming pool?

Ans

The ring can be filled up to 80% with air. If the ring is blown too full, it may burst or leak as soon as it is filled and sunbathing.

2 ) On what kind of surface can I put my top swimming pool the best?

Ans

On a stable surface. This can be grass, concrete or pavement. The pavement must be level and stable. Pay attention! Make sure there are no twigs, stones, sharp objects or other debris under the pool. A ground sail is recommended. Do not put the swimming pool on a muddy or sandy surface, which could reduce the bath.

3 ) Can I put my swimming pool on a slope?

Ans

No. The bath must be on a straight, stable surface. If you put the bath on a slope, it will go skewed and collapse. Therefore, be careful when filling the bath. As soon as the water is not spread well (but for example accumulates) stop filling. Leave the tub empty again and look for a more suitable place.

4 ) Why is my pool skewed?

Ans

There are two reasons for this:

1) To fill the bath, the bottom and the walls are not folded out properly. The bottom of the bath should be completely smooth, without folding. Then the walls must be spread evenly outside the inflatable ring. You can try to fix the problem by running the tub and resetting it.

2) The bath is on a surface that is not 100% even. To solve the problem, let the bath drain and reset to another location.

5 ) What glue can I use to fix my bath?

Ans

To repair your bath, use soft PVC glue. This is available from any construction market. Before using the glue, read the instructions on the package

6 ) Can grass grow through my floor cloth and / or liner?

Ans

Yes, there are certain types of hard grass, for example Bermuda grass, which can grow through a liner. So take good care of these types of grass before setting up the bath. Make the surface where you want to put the bath down otherwise you will have to free grass. Jilong can not be held liable for the growth of grass by plumage and / or liner.

7 ) Can the inflatable edge of the bath be used to hang over, lay on or sit on top of it?

Ans

No. Do not allow anyone to do this. It can cause the water to flow out, the bath becomes unstable or even falls apart.

8 ) Is it allowed to play animals in the bath?

Ans

No. Keep pets like cats and dogs near the bath. Sharp claws and teeth can cause damage to the liner or inflatable edge.

9 ) Is I legally required to place a fence or fence for my swimming pool?

Ans

In the Netherlands there is no legal obligation to place a fence or fence until now. If you want to know what regulations are in force in your municipality, you can contact the municipality.

10 ) Can I leave my swimming pool out all year long?

Ans

This is highly dependent on weather. We advise not to set the bath if it is cold outside 10 degrees Celsius. The cold has a bad effect on the liner.

11 ) Are there any ways in which I can heat my pool water?

Ans

Yes. You can use solar heating. There are several possibilities for solar heating, please contact your local pool dealer.

12 ) How do I clean up and save my pool?

Ans

Leave the pool first empty. Then clean it with a soft brush or sponge, mild soap and water. Rinse the bath afterwards and let it dry well. We recommend to keep the bath in its original packaging in a warm and dry place.

13 ) What can I do to make the pool safer?

Ans

You can choose to store a buoy or float in the vicinity of the pool in case of emergency. It is also advisable to have a first aid box and phone numbers from local authorities (such as the GP) in hand.

14 ) How can algae sit in my pool while I use the pump regularly?

Ans

Filtering the water by means of the pump alone is not sufficient. You should regularly check and adjust the chlorine and pH of the water.

15 ) How can I prevent the walls and bottom of the pool from becoming slippery / slippery?

Ans

The walls and bottom of the bath can become slippery due to a change in water quality. You can maintain the quality of water by regularly testing your pH and chlorine, pumping daily for a few hours and replacing the filter on time. You can also choose to cover your bath with a cover when not in use.

16 ) How can I prevent the legs from sinking into the ground?

It may prevent the paws from swimming in the grass. You can then choose to place a wooden shelf or a tile under the legs. Please note that the pool is straight and stable, otherwise it may collapse. You can also choose to build the bath on underneath polyethylene tiles. These underneath tiles fall like puzzle pieces and prevent your feet from sagging.

17 ) How do I get the last tube in place with a round steel frame without losing the other tubes?

Ans

To get the last tube in place, lift the frame slightly until the last tube fits in between. If you lower the frame again, it will slide it together.

18 ) Can I walk at the pool while filling it?

Ans

No, you have to be there all the time.

1. Check that the bath is filling up evenly. If this is not the case then stop filling and check that all folds have been removed from the bottom. If there are no folds in the bottom, the bath is probably not on a level surface and must be moved.
2. Check regularly that the frame is still firm and if the legs are still firmly on the ground. Look at an inflatable bath or evenly divide the walls.
3. If the bath is filled up to half, check that all screws are firmly stuck and that all pipes fall well into the plastic connectors. If this is not the case, the frame will not be solid enough to hold the water.

19 ) Can I connect another brand pump to my Jilong pool?

Ans

Yes, it can. On all Jilong baths are suitable for a pump with a connection of ø32 mm.
